Comforts of a Hotel, in the Atmosphere of a Home

Are you in a position to bless a person or couple in leadership with some time away devoted to spiritual refreshment or personal growth? Do you and/ or your spouse feel wearied, embattled or overwhelmed by the demands of ministry and need a place `off-site' to sort some things out in privacy and/ or with the assistance of an experienced pastoral counselor? Or do you need a break in routine and want to visit Pa Dutch country with its many attractions and Christian activities (eg. Sight and Sound theater)?

We invite you to reserve some dates and enjoy the accommodations at the bed and breakfast at our advertised rates. During your stay you can optionally schedule some time with the Healing-Care Counseling Ministry. The suggested amount for this ministry is $50 per hour and must be scheduled prior to arrival to ensure availability. Work through issues with the help of a caring person who is unbiased and impartial; in confidentiality and safety. Allow God to reveal Himself in new ways, take you to new levels of intimacy and restore the joy of your salvation through His transformational healing power. The counseling and healing prayer therapy is based upon distinctively Christian principles, however sensitivity is shown to those who may not completely embrace these principles.

Isaiah 55
"Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; ...
Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near. ...
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, ... "

Max Lucado, dubbed `America's Pastor' by Christianity Today magazine (April 2004), in his recent book called `Come Thirsty', says that we must be hydrated in our spirits as much as we need to be hydrated in our physical bodies. Physically, if we deprive our bodies of necessary fluid, our bodies will give us signals and tell us. Dry mouth, thick tongue, achy head, and weak knees are all symptoms of the fluid level growing low in our bodies. Max says it's the same for our spirituality. "If you deprive your soul of spiritual water, your soul will tell you," says Max. If you notice snarling tempers, waves of worry, growing guilt and fear, Max says those are all symptoms of a dehydrated spirit.

Max says a predominant theme in people's lives today is tiredness. People are tired. Many people are too busy to take the time necessary to replenish their souls. People are so conditioned to`give' they often do not know how to `receive'. They need 1) permission (from an authority figure) and 2) a prescription, to allow their spiritual thirst to be quenched. To help people drink deep of God's refreshment each day, Max shares a prayer from the acrostic WELL.
W - Work of Christ
E - Energy of the Holy Spirit
L - Lordship (protection)
L - Love

He wrote this prayer for the thirsty heart:
"Lord, I come thirsty. I come to drink, to receive. I receive your work on the cross and in your resurrection. My sins are pardoned, and my death is defeated. I receive your energy. Empowered by your Holy Spirit, I can do all things through Christ, who gives me strength. I receive your lordship. I belong to you. Nothing comes to me that hasn't passed through you. And I receive your love. Nothing can separate me from your love."

If you or someone you care deeply about needs a refreshing drink from the WELL, allow us to assist at Blue Rock Bed and Breakfast and Healing Ministry.

If you desire to contribute financially to the ministry of assisting others in the healing process, checks (tax deductable) may be made out to Light of Hope and sent to Edward Hersh, 72 Blue Rock Rd., Millersville, PA 17551.
Thank you very much for your support.
