Millersville
The Borough of Millersville is located outside the southwest corner
of Lancaster City and just 5 minutes south of US route 30. Millersville
is 40 minutes from York PA (our nation's first capital),
about an hour from Gettysburg to the west and an hour from
Philadelphia to the east,
40 minutes from
Harrisburg (PA's capital city), and 40 minutes from Hershey Park. Several
museums are a few minutes away, as well as outlet stores, malls, Fulton
Opera House, Sight and Sound Theater, Strasburg Railroad and the heart
of Amish Country. We are also within walking distance of Millersville
University (MU) campus, a few miles from the
campus of Franklin and Marshall College, minutes from Lancaster
Bible College and minutes from Stevens School of Technology.
Blue Rock B&B is 3.5 miles southwest of the Lancaster City square. We are uniquely situated across the street from farm land, yet within walking distance of many conveniences. The community park is 1/2 block down the street. A supermarket is next to the park with two convenience stores across from the park entrance. Eight doors down is a wonderful restaurant and within 4 blocks are four pizza shops, 3 cafes, a post office, beauty salon, barber shop, laundry mat, 3 banks, 2 drug stores and other small shops. The MU campus is a pleasant walk as well and just beyond the campus is a golf course and farmers market. A large movie theater is about 2.5 miles away in Lancaster. The city bus route passes within one block of our location. Whether by foot, car or bus, your options for places to go and things to do are limitless.
By letting us know at reservation time, we can even arrange for you to have lunch or dinner with an Amish family on their farm nearby.
