Built in 1847, this colonial farmhouse contains a bit of the character of each of its previous residents. Guests have the pleasure of staying inside the lower level where an early 20th century water pump fits into the rustic decor of the antique wood paneling and solid brick walls; or on the second floor accessed via a curved staircase, and containing original wooden floors and trim uniquely fashioned by craftsmen of long ago.

Outdoors, enjoy a large back yard in a peaceful neighborhood with a community park across the street, golf course within a mile, hiking trails, farm land, a public swimming pool, Amish country attractions and much more in the nearby area. Within walking distance are the following: a grocery store, several restaurants, two convenience stores, a post office, a Lancaster County RRTA bus stop, and the MU campus. Indoors offers spacious quarters with three separate rooms each with a private bath and unique features. The three rooms are described below::

Family Suite Private cabin-like quarters including private bath, refrigerator & kitchenette, queen bed & two twin beds, living room with TV all on one level (about 800 sq.ft.). Inside this daylight basement stands a 1900 water pump that fits into the rustic decor of barn siding and brick walls. Suitable for the entire family. Low hanging ceiling beams may present a concern for persons six feet tall.
Sun Suite First floor living quarters (kitchen, dining & living room) with second floor bedroom (queen bed), and private bath (antique soaker tub and shower) with adjoining "sun" room (enclosed porch balcony). Perfect for an individual or couple's stay. A sleeper sofa is available for a third person.
Dutchman Suite First floor living quarters (kitchen, dining & living room) with second floor bedroom (queen bed), and private bath (shower). The bedroom is a two room suite with 2 twin beds in the adjoining second room. A cot is available for children or additional adults.

Typical Breakfast (complimentary) Fresh baked muffins, home made granola with milk, one of many different home cooked egg dishes, pancakes or french toast, fresh fruit (local if in season) or home made apple sauce, sausage or bacon, delicious pasteries, hot coffee or tea and juices. Milk is from a local farm and eggs come directly from the chicken house.
